The scRNA-seq Expression Profiling of the Receptor ACE2 and the Cellular Protease TMPRSS2 Reveals Human Organs Susceptible to SARS-CoV-2 Infection

COVID-19 patients always develop multiple organ dysfunction syndromes other than lungs, suggesting the novel virus SARS-CoV-2 also invades organs. Therefore, studying viral susceptibility of organs is important for a deeper understanding pathogenesis. Angiotensin-converting enzyme II (ACE2) receptor protein SARS-CoV-2, and TMPRSS2 promotes proliferation transmission. We investigated ACE2 expression levels cell types from 31 to evaluate risk infection using single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq) data. For first time, we found that gall bladder fallopian tube are vulnerable infection. Besides, nose, heart, small intestine, large esophagus, brain, testis, kidney identified be high-risk with high TMPRSS2. Moreover, susceptible grouped into three based on expression. As result, respiratory system, digestive urinary system at top-risk level This study provides evidence in human nervous reproductive circulatory scRNA-seq data, which helps clinical diagnosis treatment patients.
